Dongding Oolong (Roast Type)

The origin of the Dongding oolong (literally frozen top) tea comes from several accounts. One said that in 1855, Luguren Lin Sanxian subsidized Lin Fengchi to take a test in Fujian Province. When Lin Fengchi returned to his hometown after becoming an imperial scholar, he brought back 36 pearls from the Wuyi Mountains in return for gratitude. Lin Sanxian planted 12 of them on the mountain next to Qilin Lake and became the beginning of Dongding oolong tea.
