Suzhou Dongting Biluochun
Dongting Biluochun is one of the top ten famous teas in China with a history of more than 1,000 years. Biluochun has been listed as a tribute since the Tang Dynasty, and the ancients also called this tea Kung Fu tea or “new blood” tea. According to legend, there used to be wild tea at Biluochun Peak in East Dongting Mountain, and local people picked this tea every year to drink. One year, the tea tree grew so luxuriantly that the tea picker's bamboo basket couldn't fit, so the he carried them in his arms. The tea leaves were heated by his body warmth, and they gave off a strong burst of aroma, so the picker named it "Scary Fragrant Tea." Later, local officials offered this tea to Emperor Kangxi. Kangxi liked it very much after drinking it, but felt that the name was inappropriate, so he named it "Biluochun" (literally Curled Jade Spring).
